In my daily rounds of dealing with clients regarding their digital printing needs, I am often asked ‘Are Bumper Stickers right for me?’ A lot of the time they are not and I will let my client know that. The times when I will refer a customer to Bumper Stickers for their campaign are when one of the following criteria are met:

* Are the stickers designed to go onto cars? Bumpers are perfect for cars. A custom shape with a few unique colours is just the thing needed to stand out. And with a bit of travelling bumpers will give you a lot of views making them much more effective.

* Are you memorable? Do you have a tag line which people remember? A bumper is the perfect way to display this. Small businesses beware. Branding may not be effective and what you need may be immediate calls to action.

* If you are looking to envoke repeat customers then bumpers are the way to go. The reason being is if your customer sticks them to their vehicle, everytime they need to contact you, they have an easy to find place to get your number from. Better yet they will be reminded of you everytime they see it.

* Do you think the actual bumper sticker will be stuck to the item you service? Like if you are a mechanic will your clients stick it to their car window? If this is the case then a bumper is perfect for you. The reason being is when the item needs servicing, a tuneup or fixing they have an easy way to find your phone number. That beats them having to look in a directory to find you and also your competitors.

* Bumper stickers are perfect for targetting local clientele. Think about it for a minute. If someone sticks it on their car or window then people around them will see the sticker. Therefore this is perfect for locally based businesses.

So use these questions as a guide to see whether bumper stickers will be effective with your next advertising campaign. With them it can help you filter out whether bumper stickers or another medium will be more effective.
